This magazine design took a lot of inspiration from various photoshoots Courtney was involved, the main one being in a hotel room with a fox on the bed. One of the most recent albums of his was his album "404", which is a play on the web error that appears from a broken web link or a disconnect from the internet, which is our main source of connection in our society at this point of time. The nostalgic album brings up themes of a disconnect not only from other people, but a disconnect from our pasts.
Knowing the meaning behind the album name, I believed the best way to represent this disconnect and brokenness was through a plain white background, as you would see on this web error page, and simple glitch inspired designs throughout.
