12” vinyl LP “gatefold” jacket for the singer/ songwriter, Barns Courtney created in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

After researching the artist's album covers and analyzing his design and subject choices of songs and visuals of covers and music videos, I settled on the collage style cut and paste work with images of skulls, flowers and birds that are often shown in his previous work- dandelions being the flower of choice because of the song "Golden Dandelions." There is also a line in a song on this album that talks about constellations, which is why the galaxy is the main background of the album. Much of Courney's work plays with the aesthetic that was prominent in the late 90's and early 2000's which often incorporates symmetrical patterns and the collage style cut and paste look.
